Tour Stop 2 "Ray House and Cornfield"--After leaving the Ray Springhouse and crossing the road, follow the trail up to the Rayhouse, this view is along the trail leading to the Rayhouse,the Ray Cornfield is located on the hill past the treeline, and the springhouse is located at about the center of this picture at the base of the treeline. The old Wire Road is just in the foreground on the otherside of the fence.

Tour Stop 3 "Pulaski Arkansas Battery and Price's Headquarters"--After leaving Tour Stop 2, Drive on the road till you come to Tour Stop 3 "Pulaski Arkansas battery and Price's headquarters" on the right. At the tour stop, behind you is a short walk up to the East overlook. At the tour stop follow the trail down to the bottom of the hill, this trail has some nice scenery of the Creek on the left. At the bottom of the hill is the Wire Road and a trail leading to the Pulaski Battery site which is pictured in this view. During the battle, there was not as many trees in front where the battery was positioned: "Woodruff had taken position with his Arkansas battery on an elevated point of land overlooking the field from the East and had opened fire on Lyon which retarded his Advance and greatly aided the Missourians in geting into position". |
