Overlook Entrance Gate--After leaving the Powder Magazine, you will turn left and drive down the road till you see the Overlook gates on the left. Through these gates you will find the Old Arsenal Gate and a view overlooking the Mississippi River.
Overlook Gate closeup--If you look close at this picture you will see that the fence is made of old rifle barrel, I believe this is a technique used all over the country at historic sites. |
